Thomas James Fencing use only the finest PEFC certified or FSC sourced Scandinavian, Slow Grown Pine and smooth planed pine in our contemporary fencing due to it's quality, and how well it takes to treatment.
The raw timber is cut, and planed to your preferred dimensions, and then sent to a specialist plant, where it is treated under high pressure. The treatment process gives the timber a guarantee against rot for 25 years.
The timber is then delivered to back to us, where we stain each baton, with two coats, of your chosen colour stain.
Once each piece has passed our quality control checks, minimising imperfections , the batons are delivered to your property, where they are installed individually.
Every cut is cut by hand, gently sanded and dabbed with an end grain preservative to ensure longevity and quality.
The batons are fixed using the longest pieces possible to minimise joints, and fixed using galvanised, lost head nails.
This style of fencing can breath a whole new life in to your garden, bringing it in to the 21st century.
The main benefit of using the softwood over the hardwood, is more control over the finished colour of your fence. There is no compromise in life expectancy, or quality.
Thomas James Fencing supply and install all types of contemporary fencing across the UK.
